The History Of Decker Services

Big ideas, excellent equipment, and a fascination with keeping track of information inspired the creation of SimNet at Charles Decker's home in Saint Joe, Indiana. During the Autumn of 1998, Charles created a small personal home page. Although the site continued to grow, it was quickly becoming too large for free hosting services. In the fall of 2001, Charles bought the domain DeepList.com, and changed the company name to DeepList PC Services. Soon after this time DeepList acquired its own web server after outgrowing many paid hosting solutions. In 2004, services at this point included e-mail, web design, web hosting and computer repair. For a couple of years thereafter, DeepList continued to provide web development services from a new location in Van Wert, Ohio. Finally, in 2006 DeepList had reached a fork in the road. With a decline in the market and being undecided on the direction of the company, founder and creator Charles Decker needed to make a decision. After a lot of deliberation he decided to continue DeepList as a separate entity dedicated strictly to the already established online forum community and move all business related services to a new medium. In summer of 2006 DeepList would move once again to our current location in Indiana. Beginning in 2007 all previous business services were now being offered under the new Decker Services name while the online DeepList community still continues as a separate sister site.

How We Got The DeepList Name

There is no rhyme or reason for the name at all. When the domain was purchased, founder Charles Decker was fifteen years old. At that time he did not have any credit cards, so he was unable to register a new domain name. He used the only available resource and searched eBay for domains that were currently for sale. Charles found DeepList to be somewhat suitable and enticing.

A History Of Innovation

Launched by the success of our early days, notable services have included web hosting and website building. More recently, we have launched our WiFi and radio communications divisions. Newly added is an e-mail center allowing users to get a personal e-mail address. We really enjoy the DeepList community as a way to relax and communicate with other members. Created to allow users from across the Internet to share information and ideas, the DeepList community forums to this day are a big success.

Since our founding in 1998 the company has evolved impressively. Decker Services has integrated a broad range of commerce, content and services under the company name. Today, we are expanding the services even further through strategic partnerships with leading content providers and aggressive international expansion.
